Unraveling Fascia.

Have you ever pulled a thread on your sweater just to find that one little tug begins to unravel the whole shape of the fabric? That one little thread can effect the entire piece of material. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What if you understood that our internal fascial network is akin to these threads and how overuse, scar tissue, joint tightness and inflexibility can all negatively effect how your inner fabric communicates with your entire internal system (organs, brain and nervous system included). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fascia. It has the ability to independently contract around the muscles that it envelops and surrounds and responds to stress without your conscious control. It is an interesting sensory organ that spans our entire body and is the reason we can connect foot pain to a headache. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have an internal matrix that is filled with lymph, fluid, blood, electrical activity and hormones that all communicate through the fascial planes. When one part of the body is imbalanced, it can throw off another part that is far from the original insult or trauma. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, the next time you have a pain, question is it really coming from the place you are feeling it or can you trace it to another area that could be out of balance...or can you find the emotional or thought that could have triggered the pain? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
