BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME

15 years ago, my producer friend Melissa (High Hip Productions) and I sat in her very tiny upper West side NYC apartment writing a treatment for a t.v. show that we would eventually pitch to @discoverychannel. If any of you that grew up as kids in the 80’s can recall this melody “WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?” You can get the gist of our idea. It was called “The Urban Shaman” and it would take me on a @travelchannel type exhibition across the world meeting with indigenous medicine people. Obviously, we were a bit too ahead of the times back then but that idea has always been buried in the depths on my mind.

Fast forward to today, when people are much more open to complementary styles of wellness…this idea has come to fruition. No, not on a global scale (yet) but a local, “Let’s get to know some pretty awesome fitness, wellness, nutrition, holistic practitioners that you can have access to right now.”

Think social media live meets podcast-esque conversations. Throw in some possible movement challenges, body-mind connections and collaborative approaches to the overall meaning of wellness through a physical, emotional, mental and nutritional platform.

Every week, there will be a guest that will be highlighted for their expertise in their particular field and dedication to health. They will share with us their specialized knowledge and we will have a collaborative conversation on how their approach might be integrated into your life to help you live happier and healthier.

Integrate. Embrace wellness. Join the collective.
